[TOP]Fund Raising
The Colchester Local Group raises money each year to support the vital full-time work of the UK Section and to meet the its own running costs. The Group holds collections in the centres of local towns and at other selected locations. Special events occur during the year and there are social events where Group members assemble informally.
[TOP]Publicising Amnesty International's Work
The Colchester Local Group has a strong public presence: its stall can be seen at various locations during the year, members speak on Human Rights issues by invitation and press releases appear in the local media. Members attend the Regional Meetings and the Group sends a delegate to the annual National Conference. Group Members receive the quarterly Colchester Group Newsletter.
